JOB SUMMARY
The Retirement Plan Administration (RPA) team is responsible for the compliance testing, government reporting, plan terminations, and retirement plan compliance for FinDec’s clients. This team is the go-to subject matter experts on qualified retirement plan rules and operations - often operating as an internal consulting group, defining and guiding retirement plan specific strategic, operational and product improvements across the company. The team ensures cross-functional alignment in iterating and executing the annual retirement plan administration process, overseeing the retirement plan compliance of FinDec’s clients driving client experience.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for all services related to Defined Contribution (DC) plans for both daily valuation and balance forward platforms
- Census data validation and annual questionnaire review
- Review and track plan document provisions, restatements and amendments
- Perform annual data scrub, testing, and track participant balance using the compliance module
- Perform Trust Accounting
- Calculate Employer contributions accurately and timely
- Create and complete Form 5500 and other applicable forms and schedules
- Create valuation packages for customer review
- Provide prompt and professional customer responses
- Identify RMD eligible participants
- Meet regularly with the Relationship Manager Team to solve problems and improve processes
- Various ad-hoc other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, finance, and business-related fields preferred
- Client first attitude with utmost honesty and integrity
- Broad knowledge of company sponsored benefit plans and
- Able to lead review meetings with clients and prospects
- Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter takes initiative
- Team player, collaborative, ready to work with and through others
- Ability and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to adapt and learn investment and CRM related computer software
REQUIRED
- Five years experience with retirement plan administration
- ASPPA credentials which may include Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA)
- Able to learn/work with DGEM’s, ASC, Schwab Retirement Technology (SRT) and Salesforce Platforms
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily sedentary in nature, no special demands are required. The corporation has multiple regional offices which may require travel to the locations.
