Technology Services Director

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING:

Medina County District Library (MCDL) seeks a full-time, experienced Technology Services Director (TSD) to join our administration. The TSD is responsible for leading a team of five talented IT professionals in support of the library's mission to provide outstanding and innovative library services.

The TSD leads the strategic technology actions overseeing infrastructure development, maintenance, and security. They routinely administer, troubleshoot, and upgrade major systems such as Microsoft Office 365, SiriDynix, the public website, backup and disaster recovery, network management, and hardware management. The TSD develops and administers the department budget to achieve goals and utilize resources in an effective manner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience in progressive levels of responsibility; an equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. The TSD possesses the ability to develop excellent working relationships with library partners including CLEVNET, OPLIN, Ohio Library Council, and the State Library of Ohio as well as Ohio library community, Medina County partners, and with vendors, preferred. The TSD stays abreast of current and future trends in information technology and library administration and makes recommendations on future district strategies and planning, preferred.

SALARY: $29.10 per hour or commensurate with experience and qualifications

BENEFITS: 22 days vacation; sick leave, holidays, group health benefits; Public Employees Retirement System

HOURS: Full-time; 37.5 hours per week including some evenings and weekends
