Job Description

Role: Lead Scrum Lead

Location: Portland OR (Hybrid)

Contract Type: W2 full time

Job Responsibilities & Priorities
Ensure Effectiveness of Quarterly Planning
Product Managers (Feature & Team Epic owners) know what needs to be done and by what deadlines
Monitor progress getting Team Epics created to connect Features to work at the squad level, providing support and monitoring as needed
Validate that Team Epics contain needed information and partner with Product Managers to ensure

Team Epics are complete and accurate
Facilitate quarterly planning meetings and reporting
Increase Effectiveness of Quarterly Execution
Monitor progress on a sprint-by-sprint basis
Make status visible so status is understood and corrective action can be take when needed
Watch for anything falling through cracks and partner with Product, Squads and Engineering

Leaders to resolve
Identify, communicate and help resolve issues blocking or delaying deliverables
Validate that squad work aligns with quarterly plans, help resolve any issues

Metrics & Tracking
Squad Agile Metrics
Squad Team Epic Metrics: Sprint-by-sprint (bi-weekly) Team Epic metrics and status reports
Roll-up Agile Metrics and Team Epic Metrics across the organization
Digital Dash: Keep Digital Dash current and accurate

Improve Effectiveness of Squad Agile Practices
Respond to requests from Squads, Engineering Leaders and Product Leaders
Improve Continuous Improvement through effective retrospectives
Improve Execution through effective Backlog management, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Use of Jira, etc.
Help identify and remove impediments
Having hands on experience in Jira, Jira Dashboards, Queries, and other reports is a Plus. Having hands on experience in Aha and Aha roadmaps and reports is a plus. Having experience in confluence and managing content in confluence is a plus.
