Job Description

Princeton Scientific Corporation is currently seeking candidates for our Technical Sales Engineer position. Such a position involves extensive work in the outreach and promotion of products and services, lead generation, as well as understanding, maintaining, and operating the following technologies or components:
• Precision Wire Saws
• Diamond Wire Saws
• Plasma Systems
• Ultra-High Vacuum Components


Job Roles and Responsibilities-Technical
• Operate in-house technology with confidence and adherence to any safety measures.
• Maintain, clean, and calibrate equipment.
• Execute written and verbal instructions provided by engineers.
 • Repair equipment with or without the assistance of engineers.
• Maintain inventory of all needed components and supplies for the operation or repair of equipment.
 • Develop how-to manuals for clients.
• Assist clients in the maintenance or repair of their equipment.
• Provide technical support to team members.
• Review, understand, and interpret manuals, CAD models, STP files or other technical documents for the operation or repair of equipment.
• Attend tradeshows to explain equipment operation and functions to potential clients.
• Write reports after treating or cutting samples.

In addition to the hands-on technical work required, candidates will be expected to read, watch videos, and research the different technologies associated with the job. PSC will provide materials and resources for this research, as well as provide training from Engineers either in person or via video call. Reading will include informational materials such as technical manuals, instructions, 3D CAD drawings, and published works including white papers, journals, or research studies.

Job Roles and Responsibilities-Sales
• Managing and distributing information within an office (answering phones, saving emails, filing forms, maintaining files). Planning meetings, preparing slide presentations, spreadsheets, and graphics. Performing data entry, word processing filling, scanning, copying, and faxing.
• Following up on quotes for UHV, Wire Saw or Plasma when needed.
• Preparing quotes, orders to suppliers, order confirmations, follow-ups and managing databases.
• Developing sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts
     o Inbound lead follow-up via phone call
      o Outbound cold calls and emails
             Evidence of this research and results must be provided to the supervisor upon request. You are responsible for keeping a log of all  cold calls or pitches and their respective responses.
• Soliciting new accounts through the contribution of new and creative outreach methods.
• Providing technical information and explanations about products.
• Managing accounts via telephone, fax, and email inquiries.
• Building rapport with clients and maintaining positive business relationships.
           o Evidence of this must be provided to the supervisor upon request. Examples include:
                  Outreach via phone call to clients to offer training or new products.
                  Outreach via phone call to clients to arrange meetings about new products or offers.
                  Outreach via phone call to clients to promote special offers.
• Verifying and entering information into a computer database.
• Investigating and resolving client problems with products.
• Ascertaining the needs of the client and promoting relevant products.
• Scheduling and attending meetings with suppliers and clients.
• Giving product presentations at meetings with suppliers and clients.
• Traveling to tradeshows either in or out of state and promoting products to attendees as well as giving product presentations at available showcases. Some shows require travel on Sunday in order to set up booth for Monday.
• Meeting or exceeding monthly set sales goals and objectives set by the President. (These will be in conjunction with yearly sales goals set by suppliers).
• Promptly following up on all proposals and quotes (first via phone, and then via email).
• Updating job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and technical documents.
• Effectively and independently handling customer inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a timely and professional manner (Having a technical meeting with the manufacturer in which they do most or all of the talking is not considered independent.)
• Communicating customer concerns or complaints with the President.
• Working within the guidelines as detailed in the Princeton Scientific Employee Handbook.
• Reporting to the General Manager with any concerns involving work duties or other conflicts.
• You must sign a non-compete agreement.

Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
