Director- Regional Operations

The primary purpose of this position is to manage multiple manufacturing and warehouse facilities in Milwaukee, WI, Oshkosh, WI. This includes overseeing all aspects of safety, environmental, quality, productivity, customer service, and financial (operating & capital budgets) objectives. To provide leadership and support to all corporate and branch activities to attain short- and long-term strategic goals that are aligned with the corporate vision and mission statement that are critical to the success of Hydrite Chemical Co.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide a safe and productive working environment for Hydrite Employees through development and optimization of programs, procedures, training, processes and infrastructure.
  • Direct continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Resource management, including personnel selection, annual performance reviews and team development, and assessing facility staffing needs.
  • Capital expenditure justification, prioritization and implementation to all managed manufacturing locations and warehouses. This includes transferring funds between facilities to ensure overall capital budget objectives are maintained.
  • Assure compliance to all regulations as dictated by FDA, DOT, EPA, DNR, OSHA, DHS, USDA and other governmental agencies.
  • Budget development, preparation and management for operations' production, warehousing, transportation, maintenance, and administrative expenses, including wage and salary administration.
  • Investigate, author, recommend and / or implement policies and procedures to improve company performance.
  • Support Logistic/Transportation team's agenda to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Work with regional sales management to facilitate support of sales opportunities and solving problems for their customers.
  • Guides employee performance and development through the use servant leadership methodology, succession planning, organization development, and annual performance evaluations.
  • Uphold Hydrite's Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers
  • Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
  • Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required. Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.
  • Co-develop Continuous Improvement plans for each branch and manage completion of projects with site personnel and central engineering.
  • Prepare productivity and performance measurement data for presentation to the Senior Vice President - Operations and Ownership as requested.
  • Create and drive the development of safety, quality and regulatory affairs policy so the organization can comply with all applicable regulations and laws.
  • Work with misc. executive committees to implement corporate initiatives at respective branches
  • Partner with P&LVP's to ensure Operations is aligned to support their sales strategies and initiatives.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

  • This position reports to the Sr. Vice President- Operations.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • College degree in business, science, or engineering related vocation required. A graduate degree is desirable or experience within business management.
  • Minimum of 10 years of management experience in a manufacturing / distribution environment. Experience in chemical manufacturing or packaging is highly desirable.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
  • Must have excellent communication, confident in speaking within a group or in public, and strong interpersonal skills along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.

**Since this is a regional role, we're open to candidates within a 50–60-mile radius of Milwaukee (Madison, Oshkosh, Racine, ect.)**
