Event/Pop-Up Shop Manager - North Hills

TITLE: Event/Marketing Manager  

LOCATION: North Hills and South Hills of Pittsburgh

REPORTS TO:  Bakery Owner/Operator   

Position Summary: 

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Event/Marketing Manager works alongside the Bakery Owner/Operator and team members to reach customers outside our bakery’s 4 walls. The Event/Marketing Manager will be responsible for 1) Running sales events that take place outside of the bakery (ex. Hospitals, Farmers Markets, School Events, etc). 2) Finding new groups and locations to hold sales events 3) Doing Marketing drops and outreach visits to local businesses and charities. 

Accountabilities/Duties: 

• Planning Events: 
  • Work with point of contact from the event location to coordinate the following: date, time, location, provide marketing flyers, etc.  
  • Work with store managers to secure extra workers from store staff  to run the event when needed. 
• Running Events: 
  • Responsible for driving Nothing Bundt Cakes company van to the event.  Van is loaded with product and materials needed for the event.  Most event locations are within a 30 minute drive of the bakery but could be up to an hour drive.
  • Responsible for event setup and breakdown.
  • You will be at the event selling Nothing Bundt Cakes.
  • Manage/train any additional Nothing Bundt Cakes staff who are working the event.
• Finding and Securing New Events
  • Perform outreach to find new event opportunities.
  • Make a connection to the point of contact that runs the event to secure a sales event opportunity.
• Doing community outreach to businesses and charities.
  • You will do in person visits to local businesses and charities to donate cakes thus creating a connection within the community.

Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED. 
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to drive company owned vehicle. 
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.   

Work Availability: 

• 30-40 hours a week.
• Work on weekends or evenings if event sales times require it.
