Job Description

McManus Ateshoglou Aiello & Apostolakos PLLC (“MAAA”) is seeking to hire a Calendar Clerk to manage the firm's calendar with hearings, court appearances, and other firm matters. Our firm is based in New York with offices in the Manhattan Financial District and in Nassau County Long Island. This position is fully in-person, based in our Manhattan Office.

Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, highly organized, efficient, and have good written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

Written and verbal communication skills
Strong calendar management skills
Ability to multitask with high-level attention to detail
Typing and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to organize files and workflow

Responsibilities:

Handle all facets of New York Court calendar, including court appearances, motions, depositions, and client meetings.
Promptly circulate changes or updates in schedules to all parties involved.
Manage and review emailed court notices to enter schedules, monitor and track deadlines for legal filings, responses and other time-sensitive tasks.
Daily coordination and communication with attorneys and staff for calendar related topics.
Manage incoming telephone calls to the firm’s main line.

MAAA effectively assists clients in assessing each claim by promptly reporting all relevant information. In order to cost effectively protect clients’ interests, the attorneys of MAAA work closely with clients to strategically develop proactive litigation plans which often include alternative dispute resolution procedures such as arbitration and mediation.
