The Senior Director of Medical Services will work collaboratively with the VP of Medical Services and all states within the organization to develop and grow an effective medical practice across state lines. The Senior Director will oversee a team of individuals who are focused on providing high quality services that are client centered and within state regulations and follow standards of care.

What will I be doing?

  • The Senior Director of Medical Services will foster a culture of respect, trust, and accountability while leading multiple initiatives to support growth.
  • Assist with developing the overall Medical Service strategic plan and budget.
  • Maximize the use of reporting and tracking tools to improve overall efficiencies.
  • Utilizes project management principles to accomplish goals, while seeking out appropriate resources and proactively anticipates changes that could impact the department.
  • Participation in development and Implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Communicates effectively and routinely with department staff and other service departments within the organization.
  • Organizes team meetings.
  • Understands and remains current in multiple state regulations, standards of care, and billing practices.
  • Responsible for compliance and applicable regulatory, licensure and accrediting standards where applicable.
  • Participation in chart audits and record requests.
  • Monitors expenditures related to budget.
  • Approves and submits invoices for payment.
  • Supervises Medical clinic staff and complete all task's associated
  • Participation in job posting and interviewing of potential new staff.
  • Completes new hire paperwork, develops orientation and onboarding schedule as well as gathering supporting documentation needed for HR.
  • Approves Time and Leaves of Absence.
  • Preforms other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?
  • Master's Degree
OR
  • Minimum 10 years of equivalent experience in health care management. Experience in Mental Health Setting preferred.

Skills and Abilities in:
  • Ability to supervise and demonstrate effective supervision skills
  • Ability to model best practices in leadership with staff
  • Ability to mentor and support other leaders
  • Conducting treatment meetings and group supervision
  • Establish effective clinical relationships with individuals and families. Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients and staff.
  • Establishing and maintaining professional working relationships with staff and collaterals in community agencies, medical practices & facilities, etc.
  • Professionally networking in community to identify and access community resources for individuals
  • Ability to read, comprehend and implement service definitions for all services
  • Ability to work cooperatively and colloboratively with clients, families, internal and external colleagues
  • Ability to accept, interpret, & implement performance & conduct feedback from supervisor(s)
  • Ability to motivate others towards achieving goals.
  • Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task-oriented, nonjudgmental,
  • Ability to respect and maintain client confidentiality
  • Using effective time management skills to complete required job duties
  • Analyzing and evaluating situations and information, using sound judgment to make decisions and determine appropriate course of action
  • Technological skills: proficient in computer operations of email, internet use, data entry, word products such as Excel for reporting purposes. Knowledge of budgets and financial reporting.
