As the Vice President of Human Resources and Operations, you'll find yourself at the heart of our mission to provide exceptional experiences to our team members. Reporting to the COO, and working closely with our CEO and President, you'll play a pivotal role in fostering a sense of belonging and ensuring that all day-to-day activities of the company run smoothly and efficiently. The Vice President will direct, develop , and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of both the Human Resource (HR) department and Operations team. You'll collaborate with Senior Leadership to ensure our commitment to both our employees and our strategic objectives and be a steward of our culture, preserving what makes us unique.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Interviews, hires, and trains new staff in both departments.
  • Coach and mentor HR & Office Services team members
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for department staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of both departments.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of subordinates in accordance with company policy.

HR Responsibilities:
  • Be a trusted advisor to the executive team, offering insights into the heart of organizational and management matters.
  • Administers or oversees human resource programs and all related issues, including, but not limited to, payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Advocate for employees, nurturing a work environment that values and supports everyone.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align career development with our strategic vision.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to identify and understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Implement competitive compensation, incentive, and benefit plans that align with our commitment to excellence.
  • Audit/approve benefit invoicing.
  • Support departments and branches in upholding HR policies and practices.

Operations/Facilities Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Implement office policies and procedures and oversee adherence to these policies.
  • Managing office budget.
  • Manage Vendor relationships; research/negotiate office supplies and office equipment requirements and services, and plan and maintain inventory.
  • Space Planning and workplace design and move scenario planning and execution.
  • Coordinate office maintenance and cleaning ie. painting/carpet cleaning/replacement
  • Oversee and program Access Control system - all locations.
  • Liaison with IT MSP on day-to-day operations issues, new user requests and related day-to-day staff needs such as computers, supplies, office equipment, and phones/cell phones.
  • Maintain office space; including common areas; kitchens, conference rooms, storage areas, IT rooms.
  • Manage relationships with landlords; corporate liaison with building management.
  • Review and/or approve monthly operational invoices.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • A minimum of 10 years of proven HR and operations experience, including executive engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding organization skills
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Management or a related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
  • Proficiency in HRIS, Benefit Platforms and MS Office 365, Nitro/Adobe, DocuSign
