Job Description
Description:

Since 1979, Prosperity Now has been a persistent voice championing economic opportunity and innovating outside of and beyond existing systems to build power for all communities. We advance racial and ethnic economic justice by investing in bold new ideas and working deeply at both the local and national levels to drive systems change. By setting goals for our economy and following through with targeted approaches, we mobilize and equip others to change system conditions that impact racial/ethnic economic outcomes.

Position Summary:

Everyone has a role to play in advancing solutions that help all individuals, families, and communities build sustainable wealth. The Vice President (VP) of Community Impact will provide strategic and operational oversight for our programs’ unit—which specializes in delivering capacity building assistance, technical assistance, advisory support, and peer learning programs. Our programmatic teams work closely with community-based and grassroots organizations, government and philanthropic institutions and asset building and racial/ethnic economic justice leaders across the country to develop, adopt, and/or scale solutions that address racial/ethnic economic inequity and promote financial stability, security, and prosperity for all.

The VP of Community Impact is responsible for setting the strategic direction and developing the program unit’s business model and plan. The VP ensures that the unit’s goals, strategies, products, and services are in alignment with and advance the organization’s mission and goals. The VP leads and manages a leadership team of Senior Director and Associate Director level leaders around the strategic execution of the organization’s agenda, strategy, and the effective operations of the unit.

As an integral member of Prosperity Now’s leadership team, the VP of Community Impact participates in setting the strategic direction of the enterprise as well as in the overall management and sustainability of the organization.
