Position Title: Vice President of Operations - NVOCC

Job Summary: The Vice President of Operations for the NVOCC is a key leadership role responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the operational activities of the company. The role encompasses various aspects of the NVOCC's operations, including freight management, customer service, compliance, and team leadership.

1.     Operational Oversight:

·        Develop and execute strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of cargo.

·        Monitor and optimize all operational processes, from cargo booking to final delivery.

·        Continuously improve operational efficiency and quality to meet or exceed customer expectations.

2.     Team Leadership:

·        Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing operations team.

·        Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to department managers and staff.

·        Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

3.     Customer Service:

·        Ensure exceptional customer service by maintaining strong client relationships.

·        Address customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.

·        Implement processes to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

4.     Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:

·        Ensure the company complies with all relevant industry regulations and standards.

·        Stay up-to-date with changes in international shipping regulations and implement necessary adjustments.

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, business, supply chain management); a master's degree is a plus.

·        Proven experience in senior leadership roles within the NVOCC or logistics industry.

·        Strong knowledge of international shipping and supply chain operations.

·        Excellent communication and leadership skills.

·        Familiarity with industry-specific software and technology solutions.

·        Demonstrated ability to make strategic decisions and solve complex problems.

·        Understanding of regulatory compliance and industry standards.
