The Role
Organizational Impact
As a member of the Client Experience team, the Account Project Manager will report to Account Strategy Director and facilitate collaboration among MarketPlace's Strategy, Creative, Media, and Resource Management teams to provide top-notch solutions and service. The Account Project Manager will ensure the delivery of exceptional work on time and within scope, always upholding an exemplary client relationship. Accountabilities
- Client Experience
- Establishes and maintains mutual rapport and trust with clients to foster long-term client partnerships
- Communicates directly with clients on all projects with regular cadence
- Engages additional members of MarketPlace's Strategy, Research, Media, and Creative teams as deemed necessary to support client experience
- Account Growth
- Manages current projects to ensure client satisfaction and continued work
- Proactively identifies project opportunities to clients in alignment with MP client lifecycles
- Supports Account Strategy Director in maintaining an up-to-date sales pipeline of opportunities and potential projects
- On-time Delivery of Projects
- Distills client meetings/conversations into meaningful, actionable next steps
- Manages tactical project elements (meetings, schedules, email response, etc.) with precision
- Works with teams to keep projects on-track, on-time, and within budget
- Establishes and manages project timelines in collaboration with the Resource Manager
- Tracks expenses and reviews project budgets
- Active project management and data updates in Workamajig project management system
- Mutual Advocate for MP Team + Client
- Lead both internal and external weekly/biweekly client update meetings
- Manages expectations and alignment of internal and external stakeholders
- Organizes and ensures implementation of client feedback, maintaining scope-set boundaries
- Manages change requests
- Scope Development
- Develop scopes of work for existing project types, and works collaboratively with Brand Strategist on new project types
- Generate project schedule and assignments in the Workamajig project management system to inform project estimates
- QC Coordination
- Ensures all deliverables have received proper quality review before final client delivery

- Demonstrated success in managing client accounts and expectations
- Solid project management skills, including the ability to manage and track project budgets, deliverables, and timelines within a project management system
- Robust communication skills - written, verbal, and visual
- Critical thinking, needs anticipation, and problem-solving mind
- Enjoys seeing things through to completion
- Ability to anticipate the needs of each project and prevent problems
- Excels in a fast-paced team- and deadline-oriented environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and clients simultaneously
