Position Summary:

The Director, Global Harmonization and Vendor Management is responsible for overseeing and enhancing Frontage Lab's relationships with multiple laboratory vendors globally, as well facilitating alignment across Frontage Global laboratories. This strategic role is crucial in ensuring that all vendors not only meet Frontage's standards for quality, efficiency, and compliance in conducting clinical trials, but are also seamlessly integrated into global laboratory operations. The Director acts as a key liaison, aligning existing laboratories, assisting in the setup of new Frontage laboratories, standardizing methods and protocols, harmonizing standards and SOPs across different regions, and maintaining a comprehensive tracking system to monitor these alignments and operational standards. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all global laboratory operations are coordinated to support the broader objectives of Frontage Laboratories.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Global Laboratory Strategy and Integration:

Develop and implement strategies to align laboratory operations globally, ensuring uniformity in testing methods, standards, and procedures.

Act as a liaison to integrate new and existing laboratories into Frontage’s network, facilitating seamless operations across various regions.

Vendor Selection and Onboarding:

Evaluate and select laboratory vendors based on global quality standards, cost, capability, and strategic alignment with Frontage’s global initiatives.


Quote Management:

Obtain, analyze, and negotiate quotes from vendors for various global laboratory services.


Quality Metrics:

Monitor and evaluate vendor performance globally based on predefined quality metrics.


Turnaround Time:

Ensure vendors meet or exceed agreed-upon turnaround times for global test results.


Invoicing:

Review and approve vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with contracted terms on a global scale.


Reference Ranges Harmonization:

Collaborate with global partners to harmonize reference ranges and testing protocols across different laboratories.


Compliance:

Ensure all vendors comply with global industry standards and regulations.


Communication:

Serve as the primary global point of contact between Frontage Central Lab and laboratory vendors.


Reporting:

Generate regular reports on vendor performance, cost-effectiveness, and compliance at a global level.


Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in global lab operations.


Other Duties:

Perform other duties as assigned to support global laboratory operations.

Education, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 5+ years’ experience in a clinical laboratory, research setting, or CRO; extensive vendor management and global operations experience strongly preferred.
  • High level of accountability with self and others.
  • Hands-on approach with a strong desire to teach and align teams globally.
  • Proven track record of challenging the status quo and implementing strategic changes.
  • Strong team and action orientation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and priority setting skills.
