Contract Accounts Payable Clerk

J2T is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, and adhering to deadlines. Qualifications:

• Exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills; particularly adept at engaging with individuals from both technical and financial backgrounds.
• Proficiency in sales and use tax regulations.
• Solid comprehension of Accounts Payable (AP) principles and practices.
• Deep familiarity with Microsoft Excel, capable of utilizing spreadsheets and databases effectively.

Responsibilities:

As an integral part of our AP/Finance Department, you'll work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager, attending to various tasks and ensuring smooth operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Matching, batching, and coding invoices accurately.
• Resolving any Accounts Payable issues promptly and efficiently.
• Processing expense reports promptly.
• Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L accurately.
• Managing customer service inquiries from internal business partners.
• Providing administrative support to the AP/Finance Department.
• Organizing, logging, scanning, and filing invoices, checks, and other relevant documents appropriately.
• Assisting in facilitating internal and external audits as required.
• Handling daily department mail efficiently.
• Completing additional tasks as assigned.
• Validating, recording, and mailing checks while expediting special handling when necessary.
• Overseeing the entire cycle of accounts payable processes with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
