POSITION PROFILE: The Catering Manager is responsible for the overall selling, administration, and execution of events to deliver outstanding guest services and profitability. They serve as the client contact and coordinator of all related department functions to ensure a seamless and successful outcome. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to customers, vendors and team members
  • Sell and detail all items for all catering events and conferences from initial booking and contract execution to final day of details creating detailed and accurate BEOs for groups with less than 8 rooms on peak night that require catering
  • Detail all items for all catering events and conferences from initial booking and contract execution to final day of details creating detailed and accurate BEOs for groups sold by Leisure Sales Manager as well as other groups as directed by the Director of Meetings and Events
  • Qualify, respond and conduct site inspections for wedding inquiries and remain in close contact with them via phone, email, or in person during the decision making process
  • Prepare and present completed contracts for weddings
  • Prepare Turnover documents for contracted weddings to ensure smooth turnover to Events Coordinator
  • Detail and coordinate a small number of weddings each year as directed by the Director of Meetings and Events
  • Establish and maintain rapport with clients prior to and post conference, exceeding their expectations and encouraging repeat business
  • Consistently work to exceed client's expectations by proactively anticipating their needs
  • Ensure that bookings, event contracts, BEOs, and group resumes are prepared and distributed accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure that all assigned meeting rooms and function areas are properly maintained

by working closely with Culinary, Food & Beverage and other related departments
  • Provide support to Events Coordinator to ensure all customers on site have a point of contact and all their needs are met
  • Balance operational, administrative and team member needs
  • Offer creative and logistics solutions to enhance the guest experience
  • Life time learner who will stay on top of trends in the industry to offer to clients
  • Follow all departmental policies, safety regulations and procedures
  • Perform all other duties as requested
