Director Of Cruise Line Sales

This position will answer directly to the president of the company.
Daily operations include bidding on RFQ’s, fetching orders from different marine purchasing gateways, processing orders, pulling, and staging orders, creating purchase orders and scheduling delivery. You will be responsible for every function required from bidding to delivery of goods to the end-user, and everything in between; everything required to meet cruise line customer expectations.

Some of the requirements and responsibilities of the job are:
· Manage the relationship between cruise line customers and the company.
· Manage the relationship between the company and vendors.
· Must have experience with the bidding process.
· Must have experience in export sales and documentation requirements.
· Must have experience in using “Crunch time” and “Marine Exchange”; as well as any other purchasing systems used in the cruise line industry.
· Must have experience selling, distributing or using of jan-san and commercial foodservice products.
· Must have good communication skills and be able to lead, motivate, and manage a department of 10 people.
· Must be able to read and understand client purchase orders and manage the clients’ process requirements for each cruise line. (Scheduling deliveries, labeling cartons, and all documentation required by each cruise line)
· Must respond to customer RFQ’s in a timely fashion.
· Must have good negotiation skills.
· Must be organized and detail-oriented.
· Must be proficient in MS Excel.
· Must be willing to work in a warehouse environment and office environment as deemed necessary to get orders processed and delivered. The Director Of Cruise Line Sales will be required to learn all of the job functions required within the department and fill in as necessary to service the client. This may include working in the warehouse.
· Must be a team player and motivated to work with other department heads to ultimately benefit cruise lines sales.
· Collections. The position will require interaction with the client’s AP department to collect payment for items purchased by the client.
· Physical demands: Requires extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. May require lifting of up to 35 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the phone, and other office equipment.
· Expected hours of work- The position is full-time and frequently requires working additional time outside of standard work hours including evenings and weekends. Traveling is local only and may require occasionally visiting the clients’ office, warehouse, or vessel (which may require passing a background check)
