We are looking to add the right person to our HR team to help support the company’s goals and continued growth.

The Human Resources Manager works closely with our management team and supports employees at our five locations in Melrose Park (3) and Elk Grove Village (2). This position carries out responsibilities in several functional areas, including new-hire on-boarding, payroll processing oversight, recruiting, employee retention and engagement, mentorship and coaching, and maintaining compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Education/Experience:

  • Bilingual (Spanish).
  • At least five years of HR management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • ADP or similar HRIS system experience required.
  • Involvement in HR professional organizations and training a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides excellent service and support for all employees regarding Human Resource needs.
  • Maintains employee and applicant files and documentation with extreme confidentially and as required by law.
  • Leads the recruitment process, including working closely with staffing agency partners and local schools, placing ads, etc.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, including Employee Handbooks.
  • Develops, recommends and executes employee engagement and retention activities.
  • Promotes a friendly and positive work culture, by engaging with employees and using a welcoming approach.
  • Provides mentoring and coaching of department managers/supervisors regarding how to motivate employees, supervisory practices, discipline processes, performance reviews, etc.
  • Leads open enrollment meetings and corresponding activities.
  • Serves as back-up for weekly payroll.
  • Manages HR administrator activities.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel between 5 facilities as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
