The Role

Under direction of the Assistant Controller, LoanPro's Senior Accountant is responsible for recording journal entries, maintaining asset and liability schedules, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and processing tax filings. Assists and supports the timely and accurate month end close, quarterly summary and year end reporting requirement. The Senior Accountant prepares financial reports and analysis as requested by the Assistant Controller and provides recommendations for improved processes and internal financial controls. Responsible for exemplifying excellent service and the Company core values, culture, policy, and procedures at all times

What You'll Do
As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Takes ownership of deep learning about our software, its functions, and how it fulfills our customers' needs and how they use the product
  • An essential function of this role requires onsite work to collaborate with other team members. Remote work can be conducted at managers discretion and in accordance with company hybrid policy.
  • Understand, comply and adhere to GAAP practices, standards, and applications
  • Support the preparation of accurate and informative financial statements, reports, and KPI's for internal and external review
  • They will assist and support the accurate and timely month end close
  • Administer and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Perform daily bookkeeping and journal entries as needed
  • Responsible for collection management and the accurate and timely follow up with customers professionally
  • Attention to accurate detail, focus, and time management skills
  • Maintains the general ledger
  • Manage the books for LoanPro's charity arm, Become More
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of financial, employee, and other sensitive company information
What You'll Need
  • Must have 2+ years of experience performing related accounting processes (Big 4 Accounting experience is preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Google products, and ERP systems
  • Must be able to read and speak clearly in English
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Ability to communicate professionally both written and verbal
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Fluency in the English language (speak, read, and write) required
BONUS:
  • Currently have or working towards a CPA
  • Audit or Tax experience with Big 4 Accounting Firm (Other national or regional firms are also acceptable)
