Passavant Memorial Homes is currently seeking a full-time Payroll Manager for our Harmarville office. The Payroll Manager is a full-time position under the direct supervision of the Assistant Chief Financial Officer. This position is responsible for all internal payroll functions and the supervision of Payroll employees.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PAYROLL MANAGER:

  • Timely processing of in-house payroll, utilizing timekeeping system and accounting software.
  • Responsible for entering new hire information, processing change of status order, entering all forms of payroll related information to enable bi-weekly payroll processing (401k, PTO, wage garnishments, support orders, etc.)
  • Prepare, and submit timely, payroll tax filings (weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • File and retain documentation online.
  • Prepare and process payroll files to be uploaded to bank for direct deposit.
  • Prepare and process payroll manual checks.
  • Maintain timekeeping functions in timekeeping system.
  • Supervision of Payroll Department employees.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Assistant CFO.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE PAYROLL MANAGER:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Associate degree or higher in Accounting.
  • Minimum of five years experience in payroll or related field.
  • Minimum of two years experience in payroll tax filing.
  • Must possess basic accounting knowledge and demonstrate proficiency with computer-based accounting methods.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Knowledge of Kronos timekeeping system a strong plus.
