Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for delivering best in class service to Garvey’s customers. With a strong dedication to helping customers resolve issues and cultivating a positive image of the company, Customer Service Representative will facilitate the sales growth of the company. They must excel in both team environments and alone. Proven ability to listen attentively, solve problems quickly and efficiently, and create high-quality professional relationships with customers. The following reflects the essential duties for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, meeting customer demands in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. Must be able to multi-task.
• Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintains the presentation and cleanliness of assigned area, while building healthy relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to take customer orders while processing cash, checks and credit card transactions.
• Reads and records totals and verifies against cash on hand.
• Uses proper methodology to count cash receipts using cash counting machinery as well as hand techniques for counting and reconciles any discrepancies regarding daily sales and cash receipts.
• Maintains an awareness of customers to increase service levels; remains current on policies regarding payment and exchange, customer service, security practices, and other applicable operations.
• Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions.
• Remain flexible and willing to work with business changes including schedules and modifications to job descriptions.
• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• Assist with special projects as requested.
• Perform work duties safely in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Represent company values including teamwork, integrity, customer service, and results daily.
