SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Plans, develops and supports personnel policies and procedures. Supports, strengthens, and advocates for the vision and principles of the American Standard Circuits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recommends, develops, and communicates personnel policies, procedures, and forms to ensure the organization’s efficacy and compliance.
  • Interacts with ADP for payroll administration and HR Business Partner expertise, and stays current with laws and regulations affecting personnel issues (Equal employment, employee safety, etc.).
  • Stays well-informed of current employment practices and trends and recommends new or revised policies and procedures, as appropriate.
  • Administrate company benefits, including explaining benefits to employees and conducting annual open enrollment meetings with benefit vendors.
  • Performs full-cycle recruitment, hiring, orientation and training; determines employee classifications and ensures completion of all required paperwork for new employees.
  • Coordinates employee performance reviews, maintains compliant performance review system.
  • Participates and assists in issuance of personnel actions, which includes warnings up to terminations and includes exit interviews.
  • Establishes and maintains personnel records and reports; maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
  • Administrates Worker’s Compensation. Keeps record of all accident reports, maintains OSHA 300 log, and files and monitors worker's compensation claims.
  • Participates and advocates for safety, as well as being a Safety Committee fixture. Advocates and ensures PPE utilization, as appropriate.
  • Administrates and tracks FMLA leaves and all protected/unprotected leaves. Ensures all employees know their rights and responsibilities regarding leaves.
  • Files required compliance reports (EEOC, Equal Pay, etc) and ensures annual employee compliance trainings are completed.
  • Maintains personnel records and documentation with the utmost confidentiality
  • Performs other related duties as required or as assigned

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Coordinates activities and assists all department managers and employees. This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Reports Directly to CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum five years of related Human Resources experience is required for this position. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or similar from a four-year college or university is preferred. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others is essential. Advanced leadership skills are expected. Familiarity with personnel laws and regulations is required. SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR Certification preferred. Experience in ADP Workforce Now is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to communicate orally with all stakeholders, both individually and in front of a group, is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive information and to prepare or inspect documents.
No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force may occasionally be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines.
Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems. Able to apply statistical calculations, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory as well as algebra, linear equations, and other analytics as required. Able to understand and utilize financial reports and legal documents to conduct business.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor and/or calculator. This role is on-site Monday-Friday.
