Non-profit Controller, CPA required
Charles River CFO is looking for a non-profit controller to join our team.
This position is a remote part time position, 0-20 hrs/week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with nonprofit reporting requirements.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, providing financial forecasts for strategic decision-making.
- Implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks and safeguard organizational assets.
- Coordinate external audits, collaborating with auditors to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Enforce financial policies, staying informed about changes in accounting standards for nonprofit organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA required, public accounting experience highly preferred.
- Experience working at a non-profit is a must
- 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting leadership.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with finance and accounting software.
- Flexible work schedule
- Fully remote role
