The Vice President of Finance & Procurement (VP) is a strong leader & effective communicator who has a history of building successful teams, forging effective business relationships, and driving business results. This is a hands-on role and perfect for a self-starter who will thrive in a dynamic and fast-growing environment. This individual possesses broad experience across Finance and Procurement and is comfortable and proficient working in the details but is also a big picture & systematic thinker. Additionally, the ideal candidate consistently delivers with high quality, accuracy, completeness & timeliness and will have strong capabilities in financial analysis and modeling to understand and influence business performance. This leader is a team-player and coach with strong foundational skills and an ability to take the team and the business to a higher level. This role is integral to TeleTracking’s success.


Primary Duties

Leadership

  • Responsible for the leadership and direction of the Finance & Procurement function, which consists of Financial Reporting, Revenue & Billing, Sales/Business Control, Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, Credit & Collections, Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Procurement.
  • Attract, retain, and develop talent, ensuring the needed capabilities for now, as well as future.
  • Motivate & engage team with clear purpose and link to company’s mission and strategy, via functional strategy, clear goals, and connection to broader mission.
  • Serve as a member of the Finance & Operations Leadership Team and contribute cross-functionally with input and insights on a variety of topics to support the business at large.
  • Be a trusted, helpful, and engaging business partner to the organization to enable transparency, growth, profitability, and sound business decisions.
  • Actively engage with senior executive leaders and support them with information, insights, and advice.

Strategic

  • Develop & maintain an updated 5-year financial plan, inclusive of capital allocation plans tied to the company’s strategy and growth aspirations.
  • Provide financial data, insights & advice to business leaders to drive value creation.
  • Provide perspective on different dimensions of the business: Market Contribution, Product Contribution, Customer Contribution.
  • Provide scenario modeling and other ad-hoc analysis as needed.
  • Ensure capital is properly allocated to enable strategy execution and that expenses are within approved budget/forecast levels.
  • Contribute to commercial activities, with advice that enables profitable growth.
  • Support various corporate objectives, strategic initiatives, and ad-hoc analysis & projects.
  • Support M&A activities if/when required.

Financial Operations

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure quality and control with monthly/quarterly/annual compliance activities (e.g., closing, forecast, bank reporting, budget, audit, taxes, etc.).
  • Serve as a liaison for the annual financial audits for both the parent corporation and foreign subsidiaries.
  • Drive preparation of the annual financial budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Consistently monitor and analyze the organization’s progress towards meeting its P&L & Cash Flow targets through variance analysis and forecasting efforts.
  • Support management with the credit facility and other related treasury needs.
  • Oversee the preparation of the Monthly Business Review package, which includes detailed view of key metrics and trends, inclusive of P&L, B/S, Cash Flow and underlying drivers. Present the monthly business review to the senior leadership team for information, discussion, and action.
  • Support development of financial content for Board Presentations, Bank Presentations, & other Presentations.
  • Drive speed, accuracy, and optimization with processes & tools, in tight cooperation with IT, to enable increasing time for value creation activities.
  • Foster innovation & implement changes for improving cross functional operating processes.

Procurement

  • Provide guidance to Procurement team to ensure high quality goods and services are purchased at a reasonable cost and within budget/forecast levels.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Services, R&D, and Legal to ensure Procurement is enabling profitable growth of the Hardware and SaaS business.
  • Ensure best practices are established and followed with vendor management. Support the organization with proactive supplier evaluations and execution of new/prospective vendor contracts.
  • Ensure a smooth and optimal supply chain is in place while supporting the troubleshooting of supplier issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal government subcontracting plan (annual update and submission of plan, monitoring & reporting, supplier diversification, etc.).
  • Drive cross functional & continuous improvement in the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process from vendor selection all the way through payment with best practice processes, procedures, and workflows.

Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in progressive finance roles - Required
  • 8+ years of leading a high-performing finance team with the ability to drive and support change and transformation - Required
  • Strong knowledge of revenue accounting standards (ASC 606) - Required
  • Prior audit experience at a Big 4 or large regional firm - Preferred
  • Experience in a software and services company (SaaS and healthcare industry a plus) – Preferred
  • M&A evaluation, diligence, integration experience - Preferred

  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision - Required
  • Advanced Excel proficiency such as pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other complex formulas - Required
  • Proficient with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred but not required) - Required

Licenses or Certifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Preferred
  • Master’s in business administration (MBA) - Preferred
