Description

The Human Resource Manager will develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy. Lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting, onboarding, administering pay, benefits, leaves of absence, and mitigate risk by enforcing company policies and practices. This is an On-site role, we are accepting applications from Chicago, IL and Tucker, GA.

  • Strategically lead and fully execute key HR initiatives that support the company vision. Design and deploy people-related strategies, providing guidance and counseling to operations leaders and making high-level and deep-impact recommendations aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate HR Processes. Analyze and improve current state processes in order to define and implement future state processes.
  • Collaborate with organization leaders to assess and effectively address human resources needs in areas such as performance management, staffing, compensation, retention, leadership development, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Advise Executives on human capital needs and HR actions needed to successfully achieve company objectives.
  • Lead transformational change, achieving top-level buy-in to successfully implement and execute meaningful HR, Diversity/Equity/Inclusion (DEI), and internal customer success initiatives. Driving efficiencies, talent acquisition, and employee loyalty.
  • Devise and recommend a strategy to right-size talent and organization structure.
  • Oversee a recurring organizational structure and business review process to effectively execute and communicate talent needs and impacts.
  • Bridges management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
  • Champions employee engagement for optimal productivity, and ensures a positive and inclusive environment for employee retention.
  • Recruits, interviews, and makes recommendations regarding hiring new staff in the company.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Sources and Recommends learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
