Position Summary: As a Senior Business Development Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with the Marketing and Business Development team, project managers, and principals of ENGEO. Your efforts will directly contribute to finding and winning new projects, developing budding offices and service lines, and enhancing client relationships. Your ability to think strategically and organize information will differentiate ENGEO’s proposals from those of our competitors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with key contacts in target market sectors by actively engaging in networking functions and organizing client events.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Business Development team to enhance market presence in the Southern California region.
- Assist in the development and submission of Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Qualifications (RFQ), and Request for Information (RFIs)
- Lead proposal strategy discussions and kick-off meetings for pursuits
- Work closely with Project Managers during the proposal process to produce winning proposals
- Coordinate, draft, and edit proposals using word processing techniques, including document formatting and adherence to brand standards
- Conduct market research
- Database management including: track, log, and follow up on opportunities and leads; maintain accurate project, employee, and client data in CRM database (Deltek VantagePoint); and coordinate with technical staff to update project records
- Perform other duties as requested
All Candidate Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Communications, Business Administration, or another relevant field
- 5+ years of experience leading the proposal process from preparation phases through interview in the AEC consulting industry
- General understanding of the engineering and consulting industry (geotechnical, environmental, water resources, construction)
- Outstanding communication (vocabulary, usage, structure, flow, grammar, punctuation)
- Attention to detail and process-oriented
- Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines
- Team player and can-do attitude
