The Marketing coordinator develops and manages marketing campaigns, projects, and programs designed to enhance the visibility and reputation of the SimIS brand and drives use of our services or sales of our products. This is one of the key positions tasked with conceptualizing and turning the strategic marketing plan into reality— planning and documenting strategy, determining tactics and audiences, building timelines and deadlines, managing creative process, overseeing implementation and deliverables, analyzing and reporting performance, refining and optimizing to increase effectiveness.

This role focuses on planning and managing thoughtful, well-executed campaigns and federal marketing programs across marketing channels (traditional media, organic and paid digital, social media, content marketing, field marketing) to drive activity. The Marketing Manager will also be responsible for helping to scale key channels such as digital marketing, social media, and content marketing.

Essential Duties

  • Translate marketing strategies and initiatives into marketing plans, positioning and go-to-market tactics. Develop and manage campaign and tactical plans, including traditional media, organic and paid digital marketing, social media, content marketing and field marketing. Ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and budget parameters and evaluate results and/or project effectiveness.
  • Write creative briefs, lead kick-off sessions, and provide input to the business development and sales team to assist with the development of creative assets that support campaigns and initiatives. Oversee print and digital advertising and promotion schedules to ensure artwork and deliverables are completed on time and budgets are met.
  • Create and maintain individual multi-channel campaign calendars built by working backward based on internal/external dependencies to meet critical project dates. Help maintain roll-up campaign and content calendars to document and manage timing of all customer-facing marketing.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders to launch projects on time, work with product/service owners in organization to understand their goals and objectives, gather key product information to help craft promotional plans, present strategy documentation for review/approval, and wrangle stakeholders through creative review process.
  • Develop audience strategies, segmentation, and targeting techniques for each campaign and marketing program. Identify the key marketing tactics (print, web, social, outdoor, etc.) by campaign or marketing program to best reach targeted audience. Create and evaluate media strategies based on go-to-market strategies, business goals, cost, and timing.
  • Provides guidance, direction and support on development of key marketing channels, including search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), digital display and programmatic advertising, organic and paid social media, and content marketing. Help craft messaging strategy and content marketing plans, as well as contributing to content and storytelling.
  • Develop and analyze performance metrics for marketing campaigns and programs. Develop testing plans and measurement frameworks to trial new ideas for effectiveness. Use data and testing to optimize tactics, targeting, messaging, creative, and content.
  • Help manage customer responses to Marketing social posts and advertising.
  • Help support the SimIS team as a whole and contribute to Marketing-wide efforts as needed; perform other Marketing duties as assigned.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast, agile and high demand environment, while working independently and as part of a team required.
