Summary

Work to create and maintain a highly favorably image for the Savannah Dental by communicating programs, accomplishments, and points of view to the public and media. Responds to media inquiries and public information requests by assisting for the Savannah Dental departments and leadership.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Media Relations

  • Assists in office media relations efforts; supports the organization's image and delivers key messages
  • Serves as the organization's representative on behalf of Savannah Dental, serving as the primary contact for media requests, presentations and interviews
  • Assists in preparing, drafting, and disseminating media releases for Savannah Dental
  • Maintains regular media contacts and keeps them informed of events and important issues regarding media. Meets regularly with all local media outlets and vendors
  • Identifies, researches, and then communicates with the media to help post unique stories or reels for social media and in office specials
  • Tracks social media coverage, collects news clips, and assists with performance metrics reporting

External Communication

  • Assists in researching, preparing, editing and disseminating external communication materials for Savannah Dental, to include monthly reports to gauge marketing effectiveness, brochures, and other forms of written communication
  • Assists in executing the community engagement
  • Coordinates office events and social events
  • Speaks at meetings and events
  • Assists in entries for marketing and communications department

Web, Social Media and Multimedia

  • Assists in writing of website content for major projects and initiatives within departments
  • Updates company website on a consistent basis with fresh stories and information, including visuals/graphics/photos
  • Inter-office engagement with team members
  • Assists social media team in writing content for specific campaigns or responding to sensitive vendor inquiries. Assists with developing and writing content for external marketing effort for business to business marketing

Miscellaneous

  • Effectively presents information and responds to inquiries and requests from internal and external vendors within 24 hours
  • Weekly newsletter
  • Participates in professional organizations and marketing information groups to advance knowledge and network with other industry professionals
  • Stays up-to date with current industry trends and technology by attending trainings, conferences, webinars, etc.
  • Collaborates proactively with all departments and office leads to ensure that all marketing an communications is relevant, intentional and strategic
  • Follows policy, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Mass Communication, or related field
  • Two 2 years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, Mass Communication or related field.
  • Graphic design experience
  • Social Media Experience
  • Demonstrated use of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Photography & Videography experience
