Duties and Responsibilities:

Background:

Nationwide manages approximately $73 billion assets under management with a proud heritage dating back to 1933. We offer limited number of highly valued solutions by partnering with over 20 carefully selected subadvisers. The Product Marketing Consultant plays a vital role as part of Investment Management Group (IMG) Marketing team, delivering content and information to raise awareness of Nationwide's solutions serving sophisticated investment professionals, deliver a Nationwide branded experience (spanning traditional and digital channels) inform investment decision.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Responsibilities:

Digital: Enhance NF.com and Nationwide.com working with Digital, internal agency and other stakeholders to view the experience through the lens of the customer. Maintain and update site content, continually audit the experience to ensure we deliver value and make it easy to business. Use SEO, usage and page performance data to drive optimized experience and impact. Product Marketing: Provide hands-on support producing and delivering a high volume of investment product marketing materials (as an integral member of a high-performance team), including fact sheets, pitch books, sales ideas and commentaries as well as websites updates Sales enablement: Manage essential sales support resources and forums such as Seismic, weekly sales leadership calls, field communications, resource (such as calendars and internal communications) to make it easy for Sales and optimize the partnership. Advisor retention program: Develop strategies and execute plans in partnership with distribution that support client retention and development through marketing delivered a marketing-driven touchpoint and treatment programs. Recommended list marketing - partner with Strategic Accounts, Institutional Investments distribution and other stakeholder to develop and launch a recommended list marketing program that engages advisors at select firms on investment and fund content related to our recommended fund placements. Strategic projects: Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and as part of a high-performance team, lead, collaborate and support an array of projects as they surface. Areas of focus may include marketing planning, scorecard and measurement, media mix/strategy, content/materials creation, materials usageanalysis and more. Other duties: This is dynamic role with considerable opportunities to contribute beyond core responsibilities in areas such as managing department budget, participation on enterprise project teams and innovation initiatives.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Digital and email marketing - experience creating and managing digital experiences to deliver value and enriched experience serving targeted audiences. Ability to derive data-driven insights to inform decision making.
  • Project management - ability to manage, large-complex projects from inception through run within a large matrixed management organizational structure. Translate strategies into actionable project plans, lead team discussions and coordinated plans of action while elevating team engagement.
  • Ability to maintain working knowledge and/or expertise in PC-based software programs as well as third-party software; strong Excel, PowerPoint. Tableau, Salesforce and Marketing Cloud related experience/ skills highly desirable
  • Leadership and teamwork - proven ability to provide leadership in a large, complex matrix management organization and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Communications - excellent verbal and written communications skills as evidenced by the ability to explain orally and in writing various financial and investment related concepts
  • Problem solving - proven ability to identify and structure problems and issues, brainstorm solutions with team, logically present ideas to solve problems and consider team input, develop plans to solve problems and execute them effectively; strong attention to detail.
  • Attention to detail - Proven organizational skills and ability to manage detail in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years relevant financial services experience (marketing, product management. Distribution. Working knowledge of investments (mutual funds, VITs, ETFs) and financial intermediary markets.
  • Digital / email marketing experience (campaigns, journeys, website content management)
  • Proven experience with other core areas of contribution including project management, communications skills, attention to detail, etc.


Education: Bachelor level studies in marketing, business administration or related field. Graduate level studies in marketing, business administration or related field helpful.

License/Certifications: Series 6 license (or similar certification required within 120 days of employment. Series 7 will likely be required in the future.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of marketing methodologies, financial services industry and investment products including regulatory framework/environment. Knowledge of product and marketing content distribution methods.
