Responsibilities

  • Hire, coach, and administer performance appraisals for a staff of small business assistants.
  • Provide effective leadership and direction for a team of small business assistants.
  • Provide service - via inbound and outbound calls for all customers and specific agents.
  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions.
  • Promote and educate customers about available products and services, including online tools.
  • Conduct customer research by collecting feedback on services and needs.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, ensuring staff are meeting performance standards.
  • Develop internal and external relationships that support our customer service endeavors.

Qualifications

  • At least five years of work-related experience.
  • Excellent telephone, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, process-management, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation, BOP, and Commercial Auto insurance principles.
  • Committed to continuing education and personal development.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks.
  • Ability to appropriately deal with customer concerns and conflicts.
  • Property and casualty insurance license or ability to obtain within 3 months.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.
