About the Position
The Goodwin Living Summer Internship program allows college students an opportunity to explore the field of senior living and engage in many of the department that are essential to our organization. Interns can choose between eight departments: Brain Health, Life Enrichment, Marketing/Communications, Chaplaincy, Health Information Services, Finance, Executive Office (admin) and Business & Operations. This program is 3 days a week for 8-weeks (108 hours in department, plus 3 workshops) beginning June 17th and culminating August 9th. Interns will be required to submit all necessary onboarding documents and attend an in-person/all-day orientation on June 12th prior to their start date.
Summer Interns will receive a stipend, a resident mentor, and 2-3 professional development workshops with our leadership team.
Job Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled in a college, university or certification program upon submission of an application
- Ability to relate to and work with team members and their department
- Creates a welcoming, friendly and adaptable environment for those they serve and work with
- Be interested to work with a diverse population of older adults
- Have a can-do mindset and be excited to learn about all we have to offer
- Proficient with email communications and knowledge of Microsoft Office is a plus
Job Duties
- Follow all procedures of the host department
- Engage in projects as defined by the host department
- Assist in day to day task of the host department
