Job Overview:
Responsible for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding objectives and goals for revenue and profit, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Manages all areas of the hotel in accordance with brand standards to achieve a friendly atmosphere of superior guest service and provide quality. They will oversee all aspects of the hotel operations including guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, finances, team building, and staff development.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing all Guest Relations
- You must be available and approachable to all guests
- Be proactive when it comes to handling guest concerns and services
- Maintain professionalism and courtesy to all guests
- Ensure that both housekeeping, shuttle bus drivers, and maintenance exceeds guests service expectations
Managing Team
- Post openings to fill open positions as necessary
- Train new team members
- Scheduling of all employees
- Lead by example through self-confidence, energy, and enthusiasm
- Develop and maintain a healthy work environment that attracts potential employees
- Coverage of weekend and evening hours may be required.
Hotel Operations
- Oversee all property accounting functions, including, but not limited to cash deposits, payroll time card review and stock orders
- Achieve targeted revenue, ADR, and Occupancy Percentage
- Establish and continually grow relationships with 3rd party providers including, but not limited to; Expedia, Booking.com, Priceline, Orbitz, Hotwire, Hotel Tonight, Vegas.com, and Trip Advisor
- Work with upper management to implement daily room rate changes to maximize room revenue
- Closely monitor occupancy rates and demand forecasts, making recommendations concerning current and future rates
- Daily audits to ensure guest rooms, public walkways, and grounds meet sanitation and cleanliness standards
- Additional steps are required in Las Vegas to meet COVID-19 sanitation requirements
Management Expectations
- Continually solicit new business for the hotel and drive revenue through new and existing segments
- Prepare and participate in annual revenue and occupancy forecasting
- Monitor property expenditures, prepare justification for budget variations and projected increases for projects
- Participate in developing marketing strategies aimed at increasing volume and market share.
- Investigate potential opportunities for incremental revenue whenever possible
- Develop short and long-range property objectives
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High ethical standards and the drive to deliver lead by example
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communicatorwritten & verbal
- Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and the ability to delegate responsibilities
- Background in the hospitality industry and have exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to be on the property whenever needed to ensure full staffing. This includes working on weekends, nights, and holidays if needed.
- Computer literate
- Exceedingly organized and efficient with the ability to multitask
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to problem solve in order to resolve guest issues that may arise
- Must be able to respond to emergency situations
Education/Experience:
- Wyndham Certified is preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in hospitality management is required
- Technical knowledge of hotel property management and yield management systems
- Prior working knowledge of guest service standards and procedures required
Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00/yr DOE
