Summary of Position:

As the Manager, PMO and Change Management within our dynamic digital transformation organization, you will play a pivotal role in steering our project management frameworks and change management strategies towards excellence. This critical position is designed for a visionary leader adept at blending strategic planning, digital expertise, and exceptional leadership skills to navigate the complexities of change and project management in a fast-evolving digital landscape. You will be responsible to define and roll out suitable Project Management methodology to organize and accelerate digital transformation efforts. With major investments in streamlining operational processes and deploying state-of-art systems, this leader will spearhead the change management efforts for the organization.


Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic planning process for project management and change management within the organization, ensuring alignment with overarching digital transformation goals.
  • Champion the vision for change, inspiring and motivating the organization towards achieving digital transformation objectives.
  • Define, develop, and implement a project management methodology that is tailored to the organization's digital transformation efforts, ensuring it facilitates efficient and effective project execution.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of project management tools, templates, and policies to standardize and improve project delivery across the organization.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive change management strategy to support the adoption of new processes and technologies, focusing on the human side of change to ensure successful and smooth transitions.
  • Develop and execute communication plans, training and development programs, and stakeholder engagement strategies to facilitate change across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and lead initiatives to streamline processes, leveraging digital solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that process improvements are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Spearhead the deployment of state-of-the-art systems and digital tools across the organization, ensuring they are effectively integrated into existing processes and workflows.
  • Drive the adoption of new technologies, ensuring that employees are trained and supported throughout the transition.
  • Work closely with IT, business units, and other stakeholders to ensure that project management and change initiatives are aligned with overall business strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to ensure projects and change efforts are delivered successfully and provide value to the organization.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the success of project management and change management efforts, using data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Continuously assess and refine project management and change management practices to adapt to new challenges and opportunities in the digital landscape.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with project execution and change initiatives, ensuring that all efforts comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop risk management policies and procedures to minimize potential impacts on project outcomes and organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the budgeting and financial management for projects and change initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure that initiatives are delivered within budget, providing financial reporting and analysis to stakeholders to support decision-making processes.
  • Build and nurture a high-performing PMO and change management team, fostering a culture of excellence, agility, and innovation.
  • Provide leadership development and mentorship, empowering team members to take initiative and contribute to the organization's digital transformation journey.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of digital technologies and trends, and how they can be leveraged to drive business transformation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and best practices, including risk management, resource allocation, and project lifecycle management.
  • Strong foundation in change management theories, models (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter’s 8-Step Process), and strategies to manage the human aspects of change during digital transformations.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and cost control principles, with the ability to manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements affecting project management and digital transformation efforts, including data privacy laws and industry-specific regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards achieving transformational goals.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities, with the skill to develop and implement effective strategies for project management and digital transformation.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • High adaptability to rapidly changing technologies and business environments, with resilience in the face of obstacles and challenges.

Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • A master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Professional certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Minimum 12+ years in leadership roles focusing on project management, change management, or digital transformation
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery, including experience in developing project management frameworks, methodologies, and tools. Experience with managing large-scale and complex projects across various phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Significant experience in designing and implementing change management strategies, particularly in contexts involving digital transformation and technology adoption. This includes experience in stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, training, and support.
  • Direct experience in leading digital transformation initiatives, with a deep understanding of digital technologies and how they can be leveraged to drive business improvements. Experience in navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by digital innovation.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution, with the ability to align project management and change management activities with broader organizational goals.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered within budget and resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Experience working with large Oil & Gas/Energy/Industrial businesses is preferred

Travel Requirements:

  • Work is performed at a CIVI location M-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
  • Travel required to the Civitas field locations.
