WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Under the direction of the OPEX Manager and in compliance with Health, Safety, and Quality policies, and GMP environment, the PMO Lead oversees projects and ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards ensuring its successful completion. The PMO Lead is responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of processes and methodologies. The position also involves the management of the project portfolio, reporting on performance to senior leadership, and providing guidance and support to managers.

YOUR ROLE

Participates in defining project objectives, in close collaboration with project management, to contribute to the development of comprehensive and coherent project management

Structures and plans the project:

  • Defines the strategy and tactics to achieve the objectives
  • Identifies the work packages to be completed
  • Assembles the project team
  • Develops and optimizes the schedule
  • Estimates and negotiates the necessary resources (financial, technical, and human)

Contributes to the successful execution of the project:

  • Mobilizes, motivates, challenges, and supports the project team
  • Facilitate effective communication between different departments
  • Assist in resolving problems and conflicts
  • Manage risks

Ensures the progress of the work, in accordance with the approved schedule, allocated resources, and defined quality criteria:

  • Monitors progress against the schedule
  • Ensures budget tracking
  • Verifies that project deliverables meet client needs and other quality criteria (including compliance with applicable regulations and standards)
  • Ensures the implementation of actions necessary to support the changes brought about by the project within the company
  • Verifies and ensures the optimization of the project's overall profitability/value
  • Regularly informs project management, prepares key decisions to be made regarding the project, and alerts them as needed
  • Manages project communication within the project team and the Guerbet Group
  • Ensures the drafting and validation of documentation related to the management of the project under their responsibility and is its guarantor
  • Organizes project closure: gathers lessons learned and prepares the handover to the departments responsible for post-project activities
  • Proposes improvement projects within their assigned area or sectorOther duties as assigned by management

Department Specific/Non-Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with other Operational Excellence leaders or specialist in the network to identify and assign resources to projects across the Guerbet network that drive business value
  • Leads by example, instilling skillsets and mindsets across the site to drive towards a continuous improvement culture. Coaches and mentors site personnel accordingly
  • Coaches and develops others through classroom and shop floor training. 
  • Educates the general site population to develop a basic level of understanding of the Project Management tools and processes, and to instill a mindset and culture towards continuous improvement
  • Leads/Coaches and assists the trained resources to resolve conflicts and eliminate barriers to implementing improvements
  • Other duties as assigned by management

YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • PMP or similar certification preferred
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience
  • Good understanding of Pharmaceutical industry and its challenges
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools
  • Financial analysis and management skills
