Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for vendor payments and documentation of financial transactions. Must have high attention to detail, and excellent record keeping and communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Enter payments to vendors in ERP system, which may include verifying current standing, and reviewing purchase orders.
• Work collaboratively with in-house departments to ensure proper documentation and approval of invoice payments.
• Communicate with vendors on all accounts payable inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain AP filing and vendor documentation.
• Assist with internal and external accounting audits.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of Navision software helpful.
• Must be able to learn new processes and adapt to changes.
• Must possess sound interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of accounts payable experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
