Quality Control Testing Technician

ViaSun Corporation is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Testing Technician to join our team.

As a Quality Control Testing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our construction projects. You will be responsible for conducting various tests and inspections, analyzing data, and providing recommendations for improvements.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Performing quality control tests and inspections on construction materials such as HMA, PCC, and preservation materials in either a laboratory or field setting.
• Collecting samples and conducting laboratory tests to assess material properties and performance.
• Analyzing test results, identifying deviations or defects, and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
• Maintaining accurate records of test results, inspections, and any necessary documentation to meet ASTM, AASHTO, OSHA, and DOT standards.
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in construction materials testing and quality control. Knowledge of testing methods, equipment operation, and relevant industry standards is essential. The ability to interpret and analyze test results, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are also important.

Requirements

• Knowledge of construction materials testing methods and relevant industry standards is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and complex arithmetic calculations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate test results and recommendations to team members.
• Familiar with ASTM and AASHTO test methods is preferred.
