Payroll Representative

We're in search of a methodical and dependable individual to become a part of our team! The perfect candidate will possess a solid background in data entry and precision, a proactive and positive attitude, and a professional approach to customer service. As a tax specialist, you'll be our go-to expert on payroll tax filing requirements. Your role will involve liaising with State and Federal tax authorities on behalf of our clients to file payroll taxes and address tax notices. You'll also interact with clients to clarify their queries about employment laws and filing requirements. By assisting clients in navigating the intricacies of household payroll taxes, you'll deliver the exceptional customer service that distinguishes our company.

DAILY DUTIES:

• -- Payroll Tax preparation and filing
• -- Tax notice research and resolution
• -- Payroll Tax accounting
• -- Tax Table and Unemployment Tax rate maintenance
• -- State tax account closure
• -- Opening and closing new payroll tax accounts with Federal, State, and Local tax authorities
• -- Interacting with tax authorities on the client's behalf to resolve outstanding issues
• -- Educating clients and prospective clients about household employment tax issues

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• -- Associates degree, or equivalent work experience
• -- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
• -- Strong data entry skills and accuracy
• -- Friendly demeanor with “World Class” customer service approach
• -- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• -- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail are primary concerns
• -- Ability to work between the core hours of 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM EST (overtime may be required
• during quarterly tax filing seasons)

PREFERRED:

• -- Prior customer service or call center experience
• -- Experience with payroll taxes
• -- Knowledge of payroll accounting
• -- A degree or substantial course work in accounting or related business discipline
• -- Fluency in Spanish
