Position: Technical Arts Assistant
Reports to: Technical Arts Director
Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Classification: Non-Exempt
Description Summary
We are looking for a talented individual who is passionate about their craft and excited to learn and grow. The Technical Arts Assistant will join our team during an exciting season with multiple large-scale renovations, including a new L-Acoustics Audio Systemin the main worship space. The Technical Arts Assistant will have the opportunity of hands-on influence on large-scale projects as well as weekly production (Our key technical systems include: Allen Heath D-Live Sound Console, Waves Soundgrid Extreme Servers, Jands Vista Lighting systems and Ross Carbonite Video systems).
Job Responsibilities
1. Weekend Services
Under the direction of the Technical Arts Director, work to prepare for weekend services and events through stage patching, mic management, sound board and Waves Soundgrid preparation, light programming, graphic, and video preparation.
Weekly serve in key roles on the production team including: service director, service producer, FOH audio, broadcast audio and/or other key roles.
2. Systems Support
Work with the Technical Arts Director to prepare all AVL systems for special projects and outside events.
Serve on a rotating team that offers AVL support for outside events.
Work with the Technical Arts Director in performing maintenance and replacement of all equipment and systems.
3. Ministry Support
Within the vision of the Technical Arts Director, offer AVL diagnostics and training for other ministry areas.
4. Planning Team Member
Participate in weekly, bi-weekly and monthly planning meetings.
Be available to lead planning meetings when requested.
Attend staff meetings and gatherings.
5. Ministry Partner Development
Support and engage in a thriving culture that inspires spiritual growth and awareness.
Support the process of recruiting, auditioning and training new team members under the direction of the Technical Arts Director.
