Summary
This position will be responsible for understanding customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes. Devising and reviewing specifications for products or processes. Setting requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Internal expert/resource on all quality and safety systems implemented
· Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
· Devise and review specifications for products or processes
· Set requirements for raw materials or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
· Continually monitor training system and records
· Supervise inspectors, technicians, and other staff and provide guidance and feedback
· Oversee all product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
· Approve the right products or reject defectives
· Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
· Submit detailed reports to appropriate executives
· Abide by and support all safety and quality system requirements
· Read and interpret specifications

Education and/or Experience
· High School Diploma or GED
· 5-10 years of experience leading Quality Management teams in an AS9100 Quality Management System
· Strong background in precision machining environment is required
· Thorough understanding of Aerospace specifications, AS9100 standard, and CMM/Manual Measuring equipment
Language Skills
· Ability to write professionally for multiple outlets that conform to prescribed style and format
· Ability to verbally communicate effectively
Reasoning Ability
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Computer Skills
· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio)
