MEP Project Manager Hybrid

Overview

Dialectic is seeking a Project Manager to join our MEP team in our Kansas City, Mo office. Project Managers oversee all aspects of planning and implementing the delivery of our commercial projects, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection. Our PM’s are knowledgeable in the management of MEP projects and will be responsible for reviewing plans and specifications for design. Our PM’s ensure that a project meets its financial goals and possess the soft skills required to work with a wide range of personalities.

Who We Want… (Requirements)

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and 5 years minimum of MEP design and project manager experience. Must demonstrate a strong level of computer applications including Revit/CAD, MS Office, and project manager software.

What We Expect… (Essential Functions)

• Oversee all aspects of planning and implementing the delivery of our commercial projects, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Protection.
• Anticipate, identify, and promptly address issues that impact performance in risk, financials, or timing of project delivery
• Communicate with the clients, owners, and contractors to create and maintain a positive engineering experience
• Define project completion timeline with the client and applicable project stake holders
• Monitor project performance from start to finish ensuring project completion meets quality expectations and budget
• Follow firm’s design process to include assisting business development in obtaining signed contracts, guiding Kick-off meetings, Design meetings, and Premieres
• Translate project goals into operational practices and communicate this to project team members
• Demonstrate ability to expeditiously read & interpret construction drawings, plans & specifications
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as with owners and design professionals
• Direct internal design team to meet client specific requirements
• Provide review and feedback to design team to maintain consistent client standards
• Attend and contribute to Project Manager meetings
• Ensure transparency and proactive communication throughout the project
