Summary
The Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing technology projects that support enterprise operations, particularly ERP and Human Capital Management (HCM) cloud transformation initiatives. Under the direction of the Senior Manager, PMO, this role oversees project timelines, resource planning, budgets, and communication among stakeholders. The Senior IT Project Manager ensures that project objectives are met, risks are managed, and outcomes align with organizational strategic goals.
Essential Functions
  • Develops comprehensive project plans and schedules, aligning tasks, resources, and requirements to achieve project objectives.
  • Leads the formulation of project goals and system development requirements that support strategic initiatives.
  • Provides hands-on participation and technical leadership throughout project development as required.
  • Offers advanced technical guidance and mentorship to project team members to support successful delivery.
  • Monitors the work of project staff, ensuring all deliverables and documentation meet departmental standards and best practices.
  • Prepares, reviews, and validates system specifications to guide development, integration, and implementation activities.
  • Develops and oversees test plans, implementation strategies, and validation processes to ensure successful system deployment.
  • Facilitates project workflow using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and SCRUM to enhance team efficiency.
  • Conducts routine project status meetings, communicates progress, and manages changes to scope, timeline, and resources.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the role.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of program, product, and project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM).
• Proficiency with project management tools and software, with demonstrable experience in practical application.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and representing the Authority with courtesy and professionalism.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience leading IT initiatives or managing technology projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training will be considered.
  • Valid Florida Driver License required.

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to sit and stand for up to 6 hours per day.
  • Frequent walking.
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Continuous typing.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing ERP and/or HCM cloud transformation projects.
  • Prosci Change Management Certification.
