Job Description Senior IT Project Manager (SAP) Location: Tampa, FL (Onsite - 4 Days per Week, Monday-Thursday) Duration: Long-Term Contract Industry: Utilities / Energy Compensation: Competitive Overview We are seeking experienced Senior IT Project Managers with strong SAP project delivery experience to lead large-scale enterprise technology initiatives within a utility environment. This role is focused on managing the full lifecycle of SAP-related projects while driving execution across cross-functional technology and business teams. The ideal candidate brings deep project management expertise, strong SDLC knowledge, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record delivering complex SAP initiatives on time and within budget.

Candidates must be comfortable operating in both Agile and Waterfall environments and possess strong skills in project planning, governance, risk management, vendor coordination, budgeting, and executive reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage multiple concurrent IT projects, typically 3-5 active initiatives simultaneously Lead SAP-related technology projects through all phases of the project lifecycle Define project scope, schedules, milestones, resource plans, and budgets Drive project execution and ensure successful delivery against schedule, cost, and performance objectives Facilitate project meetings and provide detailed status reporting to leadership Maintain RAID logs, project plans, resource forecasts, and financial tracking Coordinate internal technology teams, business stakeholders, contractors, and third-party vendors Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies Support SDLC governance and ensure adherence to project management best practices Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Ensure project documentation is complete and maintained throughout project execution Support vendor management activities and external partner coordination Drive stakeholder engagement and manage executive-level communications Required Qualifications 7+ years of IT Project Management experience Strong SAP project delivery experience PMP Certification (Required) Experience leading enterprise application and technology projects Strong SDLC knowledge and application delivery experience Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and resources Strong risk management and issue resolution experience Vendor management experience Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience creating and maintaining: Project schedules RAID logs Status reporting Budget tracking Resource plans Executive communications Preferred Qualifications Electric Utility or Energy industry experience Experience managing large enterprise SAP implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives Experience with Azure DevOps Experience with Smartsheet Experience with Jira Experience with Microsoft Project Experience leading cross-functional technology and business teams Experience working with contractors, consultants, and external vendors Technology & Tools Experience with one or more of the following: SAP Azure DevOps Smartsheet Jira Microsoft Project Excel PowerPoint Project Portfolio Management tools Education & Compliance Requirements Bachelor's Degree required Education verification required International degrees must be verified at submission Must pass pre-employment drug screening No medical marijuana exceptions permitted Must be eligible to work on W2 Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on Senior IT Project Manager with significant SAP project experience who can successfully lead enterprise technology initiatives from initiation through delivery.
