Job Description
Position Summary: The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the overall Leadership of HR and Safety Operations, including HR & Safety Programs Development, Implementation & Administration, Compliance, Leadership Development, Training & Employee Engagement in collaboration with the SHP Management Team, Employee Relations, Worker’s Compensation, Payroll Processing, and other projects/tasks as assigned.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Human Resources Development, Implementation & Administration
- Revise / Update Company Policies & Program procedures on an annual basis, as needed
- Legal Regulations/Compliance
- New Hire Recruitment, Interviews, Testing, Selection
- New Hire Orientation & Onboarding
- Develop & Implement Human Resources Programs to align with Organization Goals & Business Needs
- Develop / Update Job Descriptions for Exempt and Non-exempt positions
- Performance Management
- FMLA & Personal Leave of Absence Processing and Administration
- Human Resources & Employee Records Management
Safety Program Development, Implementation & Administration
- Annual Safety Goals
- Annual Safety Program Assessment & Revision
- Annual Safety Calendar to include Safety Training & Safety Committee Meetings
- Safety Rules & Procedures based on Safety Hazard Assessment
- Safety Committee
- Tool Box Talks
- Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Workers’ Compensation
- Develop / Monitor DR / PT / other relationships for WC Medical Needs
- OSHA Regulations & Compliance
- OSHA Inspections
Leadership Development, Training & Employee Engagement
- Collaborated with Management Team for Effective Planning, Program Development & Implementation
- Develop / Provide Leadership & Compliance Training as needed
- Training Program Design, Development, Implementation & Evaluation for Managers, Leads and other Employees as determined by the SHP Management Team
- Team Training / Development (i.e. collaborate with Mgrs re: SOPs, Culture, Communications, etc.)
Employee Relations, Initiatives & Engagement
- Conflict & Dispute Coaching & Resolution
- Crisis Management
- Disciplinary & Discharge Process
- Separation Process & Exit Interviews
- Layoff Procedures/WARN
- Separation Process & Exit Interviews
- Unemployment
- Collaborate with SHP Management Team in Planning & Executing Company Events to include Employee Appreciation, Annual Company Breakfast, Holidays & other events
Payroll Processing
- Weekly and Bi-weekly payroll
Requirements
5 or more years of HR Management Experience
