Resident Services Coordinator

Tillamook Family Counseling Center is currently hiring a Resident Services Coordinator to work with residents at Turnstone Commons. Turnstone Commons is a 30-unit affordable housing apartment community. Residents who live at Turnstone Commons must also have a qualifying mental health disorder. Duties are site specific and vary with the needs of the residents but will include assessing the needs of individuals and families in order to provide referrals to community services and providers. Additional duties may include:

• Plan, coordinate, and provide an array of social, educational, and community services for residents to improve the stability, quality of community life, and wellness of individuals and families at Turnstone Commons.
• Complete assessments of residents and link with service providers for further assessment and long-term service delivery.
• Provide referrals to area service providers and partners, with an emphasis on optimal use of community resources and resident independence in identifying and building support networks beyond Turnstone Commons staff. When needed, serve as liaison between residents and area service providers/partners to monitor appropriateness of service delivery.
• Provide ongoing case coordination and communications or informal arrangements for residents to improve their housing stability, health, safety, and progress towards self-sufficiency; determine additional needs or changes in service or care requirements; respond to questions and inquiries from residents and assist when crises occur.

Applicants need to either be certified as a Peer Support Specialist or be able to become certified as a Peer Support Specialist within 60 days of hire. A peer support specialist is a person with "lived experience" who has been trained to support those who struggle with mental health, psychological trauma, or substance use.

Expected schedule: 19 hours per week. This position will include Saturdays, Sundays, and at least one weekday.
