As we celebrate our 100-year anniversary, we continue our long tradition of quality and excellence by placing our team members first, from safety and personal enrichment, to professional development, Neapco is excited to add a Senior Human Resources Generalist to our team.  The Senior Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for leading the daily responsibilities of the department while assisting with the professional growth of the Human Resources Generalist.  This position will report to the Human Resources Supervisor, and is based at our Components location in Beatrice, Nebraska.  It is extremely important this team member be aligned with Neapco’s Core Values of Partnership, Passion, Agility, Teamwork, Integrity, and Diversity.  Compensation dependent upon qualifications. 

Job Description: Senior Human Resources Generalist

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Included, but are not limited to the following:

  • Leads the implementation and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company
  • Ensures the daily tasks and duties of the department are accomplished
  • Oversees the accuracy of departmental documents, making necessary changes and corrections, while maintaining documentation as changes occur
  • Participates in implementing department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Assists to establish departmental measures, supporting the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals
  • Maintains employee-related databases. Prepares and analyzes reports necessary to conduct the functions of the department and company. Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested
  • Fully utilizes internal Human Resources software to improve department’s processes and procedures
  • Creates recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws
  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-team member relationship and promote a high level of team member morale and motivation
  • Advises supervisors and managers regarding the company performance improvement process
  • Leads recruitment efforts for the location, including job description creation, job posting, candidate sourcing, resume screening, interview coordination, and onboarding
  • Supports the implementation of the facility safety and health programs
  • Provides day to day benefits administration services. Assists team members with claim issues
  • Complies with all existing governmental, legal, and reporting requirements
  • Leads or assists with company-wide committees, which includes wellness, diversity, culture, training, environmental health and safety, sustainability, and other activities
  • Facilitates training on HR-related topics
  • Promotes an environment of positive employee relations, maintaining confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
  • Possession of Human Resources certification, such as Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) certification and/or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of all aspects of federal and state regulations for employee benefit programs, including ACA and HIPAA compliance
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Experience working with ADP payroll and HRMS strongly preferred
