Material Flow Coordinator (Non-Exempt)

Reports to: Asst Manager Mill, Millwork Division Manager

Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to oversee all aspects of our shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in shipping and excellent communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive and put away stock/transfer/special order material
• Verify the accuracy and quality of received items
• Organize and optimize storage space for the hardwood/outside mill racks/sheet goods
• Schedule and coordinate the packing and shipping of finished products, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are complete and meet customer requirements
• Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand
• Wrap and prep finished orders for delivery/pick up
• Use Bistrack or spreadsheet to locate completed projects for easy reference and loading by anyone
• Work with drivers to load all materials and documents (pics)
• Communicate with assistant mill manager/floor manager/sales if projects are complete or if backorders are needed
• Maintain a valid forklift certification

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• 3+ years of shipping/dispatch experience
• Familiarity with safety protocols
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds
• Ability to work inside a warehouse environment and outside in a lumber yard in all types of weather conditions
