(Apparel) Technical development assistant / General assistant

We are seeking a Technical Development Lead Assistant / General Assistant to join our team! You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organization's work flow and overall assist with the planning and co-ordination of clients apparel projects and resources at Arcus Apparel Group. Applicants are primarily concerned with creating a lasting impression among clients and improving and maintaining the organizational integrity of the front office.

Applicable individuals have great attention to detail, enjoy meticulous work, have a can do attitude and are open to learning. They will work closely with management and design/development team, to overall facilitate and expedite the workflow of the front office to create an exceptional experience for our clients.

Arcus apparel group is an apparel development/ design/ manufacturing firm that offers a full service experience for our clients, we take a customer service driven approach to the apparel development process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist and expedite all aspects of the technical development process including;
  • Cataloging, reviewing and assessing product samples both domestic and international.
  • Sourcing and researching vendors and details for clients projects.
  • Assisting with the development and creation of technical packets for apparel projects.
  • Informing clients on the status of projects and maintain detailed updates in dedicated client portals.
  • Ensure relevant sample and production materials are being shipped to and from clients in a timely manner. ( expediting and follow-up)
  • Cataloging and tracking client changes, comments and directions and communicating them to the development team.
• Clerical and data entry of measurements and other technical development details as well as the development of project estimates as dictated by the development and management team. (data entry)
• Transcribe physical development and manufacturing documents and notes into our computer systems. (ERP system)
• Take notes on creative design and technical development meetings regarding clients unique products in person and through virtual meetings.
• Daily review of new inquiries, answering questions regarding their inquiry and guiding them through to help them reach a quote for their request.
• Manage confidential and proprietary information with respect and diligence.
• Assist and manage scheduling of meetings and consultations for the lead technical designer.

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing or apparel is a plus but not necessary for the position.
• Knowledge or familiarity of Adobe creative cloud ( Adobe illustrator)
• Ability to prioritize and have a self start attitude
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong customer service skills
• Communication Skills - demonstrate effective development, interpretation and expression of ideas through written, oral, and visual communication
• Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
• Problem Solving - Ability to solve problems and quickly pivot based on information presented
