Salary:

Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is searching for an experienced Division Vice President who will thrive in our Central Arkansas Team.

The Division Vice President is a results-producing leader who is committed to excellence and is ultimately responsible for the success of the Division’s Project Management Team. The Division Vice President is accountable for every task assigned to Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Coordinators, and Project Assistants and shall ensure that all duties and tasks are correctly and successfully achieved. Supports and clearly communicates the policies and directions of the company promoting synergy, cohesion, and positive attitude toward company objectives and goals. You will report directly to the Division President.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Project Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Superintendents, and other staff as assigned.
  • Ability to effectively delegate work to subordinates.
  • Participates in the hiring or promotion process of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Superintendents, and other staff as assigned.
  • Participates in employee performance evaluations, compensation decisions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provides overall division workload schedule to assist the Division President in management and growth strategies.
  • Monitors project costs.
    • Reviews weekly labor cost analysis reports.
    • Reviews and assists with quarterly job cost projections.
    • Ensures monthly job cost projections are done and reviews as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly with owner and architect during construction.
  • Possesses an overall awareness of division status from a financial, operational, and personnel standpoint.
  • Assists Division President in review and analysis of division status.
  • Maintains contact with current and past owners and architects.
  • Attends social functions regularly to maintain awareness of Baldwin & Shell in the communities that the Division serves.
  • Participates in interviews and presentations.
  • Assists estimating in evaluation of subcontractors / vendors.
  • Assist Project Management staff in resolving issues and disputes.
  • Inspires and motivates others through expertise, words, and job performance.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have at least ten (10) years’ experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Have at least five (5) years of experience as a senior-level Project Manager in commercial / industrial construction projects ranging from $30M - $100M and higher.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have advanced knowledge of Project Management software.
  • Be able to read construction drawings & blueprints accurately.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, life safety codes, local ordinances.
  • Knowledgeable and well versed in AIA documents.
  • Have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of making compelling oral presentations in a group setting.
  • Have highly developed organizational and time management abilities.
  • Have strong general accounting and financial skills to develop, track, and analyze project budgets.
  • Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Baldwin & Shell standards and processes.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Procore, Vista, Docuware, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project preferred but not required.
