Technical Sales Engineer - Optics and Imaging

Job Description

Sunex has an immediate opening for Technical Sales Manager who will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing of Sunex Inc, in our Carlsbad, CA location. The ideal candidate will possess a desire to develop new markets and customers for our core optical/imaging products to position Sunex in the high growth areas of driverless cars, automotive ADAS, VR/AR, robotic visions and medical devices. The individual selected for this job will bring 3-5+ years of sales experience to the role as well as a strong network of prospects and sales targets to position them for quick results.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in trade-shows and generate new sales leads from various online sources
• Win business opportunities with leading players in the market of robotics vision, medical products and other markets.
• Play a leadership role in generating new sales growth
• Perform sales functions including visiting customers on site, providing quotations and close sales
• Be a liaison between customers and our manufacturing operations in China

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should meet the following requirements:

• BS or MS degree in optics, EE or physics with optics or imaging concentration
• 3-5 years of prior experience in technical sales
• Demonstrated success in business development role within small/medium size company environment.
• Project management and overseas travel experience a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A willingness to take on new challenges and to grow with our company
• A team player in an entrepreneurial environment

Additional Information:

• Up to 20% travel, domestic US and international (Asia and Europe)
