This is a hybrid position, and we will consider candidates living in the State of Arizona.

Qualified applicants will be asked to complete a sample project to showcase their knowledge and skills. Additional consideration goes to applicants that submit a portfolio with their application. An ideal portfolio includes examples of work within an online higher education setting along with a simple description of the work.

Pay: $65,000 to $70,000 DOE

Position Summary of the Experiential Learning Designer:

As an Experiential Learning Designer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of education by designing cutting-edge learning experiences for our Higher Ed audience. Leveraging your expertise in instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning theory, you'll craft engaging and scalable learning solutions that drive learner success and persistence. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure our graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills demanded by today's workforce.

Performance Outcomes

Design and Innovate:

  • Design and develop innovative Higher Ed program curriculum that aligns with Bryan University's Learning Model, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Enhance Learning Experiences:

  • Utilize evidence-based strategies and educational technologies to create immersive learning experiences that foster learner engagement and retention.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Manage and maintain existing program curriculum, from updating to revising to improving learning content.
  • Stay abreast of latest research, trends, and best practices in the program's subject area.
  • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize learning outcomes.

Collaborate Effectively:

  • Collaborate with program directors, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and alignment with industry trends.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple curriculum development projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

LMS Management:

  • Build and maintain course content in the Learning Management System, ensuring accessibility and usability for learners.

Quality Assurance and Accreditation:

  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements, leading efforts to maintain and enhance program accreditation.
  • Participate in quality reviews of courses to ensure alignment with instructional design best practices and learning objectives.

Research:

  • Stay abreast of the latest research, trends, and best practices in instructional design, adult learning, and educational technology, integrating new insights into curriculum design and development.
  • Stay abreast of latest research, trends, and best practices in the program's subject area.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Ability to work in a technology-rich environment using software including but not limited to Google Doc Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and Canvas.
  • Ability to stand or sit for six to eight hours a day.
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to work in the office on a hybrid schedule.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, Adult Education, Cognitive Science, or related instructional design field required.
  • 3+ years of experience in online instructional/curriculum design for Higher Ed.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with a student-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in utilizing educational technologies and creative pedagogical techniques.
  • Experience leveraging AI within online courses.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative environment.
