Our manufacturing group has an immediate need for an HR Manager/Coordinator to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. We have a growing company with over 325 individuals across four plants. We are looking for an experienced professional with a proven background in HR management to grow with us supporting our day-to-day business needs as well as our strategic growth.

Please note, this is a hands-on active working role. A successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the employment life cycle from day-to-day coordination/processing of documents to the overarching areas of safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements. This role requires time management and organizational skills to accomplish day to day responsibilities that will allow time for working on more strategic, growth-oriented projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Handling payroll, benefits & retirement administration, and other essential HR functions with precision and confidentiality.
  • Establishes and maintains company records and reports.
  • Supports management by providing human resources direction, advice, and counsel.
  • Understanding and working with diverse groups within the construction or manufacturing industry
  • Lead company’s compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal requirements.
  • Coordinates, controls and processes other activities with support of the corporate office and plant management to include but not limited to:
  • Annual open enrollment
  • Annual audits
  • Workers Comp.
  • Census reporting
  • Background checks
  • On boarding/ Terminations
  • OSHA requirements
  • DOT requirements

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or comparable HR related accreditations required.
  • five or more years of HR experience required.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in HR management or coordination role, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for building relationships at all levels of the organization.

Software & systems experience desired.

  • ADP Workforce Now
  • MS Office 365
  • Proficient working knowledge in Excel
